The platform

One aircraft, one pilot, no mobilization fee from out of state

A drone covers a lot, right up to its battery, its line-of-sight rules and its payload. A turbine helicopter covers everything, at a rate that only makes sense for a utility's own program. The R44 sits in the gap: a crewed, piston helicopter that stages from Fort Ann, carries your observer or your camera operator, and bills by the Hobbs hour.
