How many passengers?
Tell us who's flying
We use your weights for the FAA-required weight & balance before the flight. We'll never share or store them after the flight is complete.
Why we ask for weight (and what 540 lb means)
Weight limit: 285 lb per seat, and no more than 540 lb total for all passengers combined. The pilot makes the final call on every flight depending on weather and flight length.
The Robinson R-44 we fly has a maximum gross weight of 2,500 lb and an FAA-defined CG envelope. With our standard configuration (~1,510 lb empty + 260 lb pilot + 30 gal fuel ≈ 1,950 lb), there's about 550–600 lb left for passengers. Knowing each passenger's weight lets us seat the group for an in-envelope flight and confirm we can carry everyone safely. If your group's combined weight is close to the cap, we may suggest two short flights instead of one — we'll be in touch.
Live weight & balance preview
Pre-flight check (planning)
Assumes 260 lb pilot, 30 gal main fuel, 1,510 lb empty weight at 106.5" CG. Final W&B done in person before the flight.
