Book your year-end outing — November & December dates

Corporate Offsites at the Hangar

Meet in our hangar at Harris Airport, fly the Adirondacks three at a time in the Robinson R44 Raven II, and bring the cockpit's briefing and decision-making habits back to your team. Facilitated by Walter Dusseldorp, CFII (Helicopter), MBA, FACHE.

Offsites that stick

Trade the ballroom for a flight line

Most offsites are forgotten by Monday. A helicopter flight over Lake George and the High Peaks is not — and neither is the lesson behind it. Flight crews brief before every flight, speak up when something looks wrong, and make decisions under pressure with incomplete information. We use the flight as the live case study and the hangar as the classroom. Every seat in the R44 is a window seat, so nobody draws the short straw.

🚁

Fly three at a time

Private 30-minute flights for each group of 3 while the rest of the team works ground stations and the workshop.

🎯

A facilitator who has lived it

Walter went from medic to flight medicine to helicopter CFII to healthcare executive. The leadership content comes from the cockpit and the C-suite, not a slide library.

🏔️

Close to home

12 miles from Lake George Village, about 45 minutes from Albany and about 30 minutes from Saratoga. Heated hangar for winter sessions.

How the day flows

Crew Resource Management, applied to your team

Walter Dusseldorp owns North Country Heli Flight and flies every flight as chief pilot and Chief Instructor. He is a CFII (Helicopter), a Private Pilot ASEL, and holds an MBA and the FACHE credential. His career ran from medic to flight medicine to helicopter instruction to healthcare executive leadership — which is why the workshop content is built on crew resource management: how crews brief, how closed-loop communication prevents errors, why the junior person must speak up, and how good decisions get made under pressure.

Sessions are tailored to your group, from a 45-minute keynote and debrief to a full-day workshop. Read more about the leadership offsites at The Dutch Mentor ↗

Logistics

Frequently asked questions

What is the weight limit?
Weight limit: 285 lb per seat, and no more than 540 lb total for all passengers combined. The pilot makes the final call on every flight depending on weather and flight length. Guest weights are collected privately at booking; nobody is weighed in front of the group.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We rebook at no charge. Corporate dates are booked with flex built in, and the pilot makes the final weather call. If flights can't go, the hangar session still runs and the flights move to a new date.
Is the hangar accessible?
Tell us about any mobility or accessibility needs at booking and we'll plan the day around them. Boarding the R44 means stepping up into the cabin from the skid step, and the pilot assists every passenger in and out.
Where do we park?
On-site parking at Harris Airport (83K), 10915 St. Rt. 149, Fort Ann, NY 12827 — 12 miles from Lake George Village, about 45 minutes from Albany and about 30 minutes from Saratoga.
Are there restrooms?
Yes. Restrooms are available on site at the hangar.
Can you handle catering?
Lunch is not included in the package price, and catering is arranged on request — tell us in the proposal form and we'll quote it alongside the package.
Can we get a certificate of insurance?
Yes. North Country Heli Flight carries $1,000,000 in aviation liability coverage and a certificate of insurance is available on request.
Do you accept invoicing or a purchase order?
Yes. Invoicing and purchase orders are accepted; the written proposal states the terms.
