The whole parcel, in one frame

A drone does fine on a single house lot. It struggles when the listing is 300 acres of timber with a ridge in the middle, a resort with a mile of shoreline, or a Lake George camp that only makes sense when the buyer sees the lake, the island and the mountain behind it in the same shot. That is helicopter work: a crewed aircraft that can hover at the exact angle, fly a slow pass along the shoreline, climb to show the full boundary, and do it all in the same hour without changing batteries or asking anyone about line of sight.

North Country Heli Flight flies a Robinson R44 Raven II out of Harris Airport in Fort Ann, 12 miles from Lake George Village. Your photographer rides in the aircraft with intercom and a headset, doors off if the shot calls for it, shooting handheld or with the gyro-stabilized gimbal you bring. There is no fixed camera mount, which is a feature for this work: your shooter frames the property the way the listing needs, not the way a nose mount happens to point.

Where this pays off

  • Large acreage. Timber tracts, farms and estate parcels across the Adirondacks and the Champlain Valley, where the boundary is the story.
  • Resorts and hospitality. Golf, ski and lakeside properties that need a hero image showing the grounds, the water and the view in a single pass.
  • Camps on Lake George. Shoreline frontage, docks and boathouses shot low and slow from over the water, where a drone can't legally or practically follow for long.
  • Development sites. Context imagery for marketing packages: the parcel, the road access and the nearest town in one wide frame.

How a listing flight works

Send the address, the acreage or shoreline length and what your photographer is bringing. You'll have a project quote within 24 hours, and we are airborne within 48 hours of a confirmed order in daylight visual conditions. Several properties on the same lake or in the same county can be flown back to back in one sortie, which is the most economical way to shoot a brokerage's whole seasonal inventory.

Rates start at $750 per Hobbs hour with a 30-minute minimum, and ferry time to and from the property bills at the same rate, so a camp on the southern basin of Lake George costs less to reach than a parcel in the High Peaks. We fly the Adirondacks, the Champlain Valley, the Capital Region and southern Vermont.

What to bring

Your own photographer or videographer, their camera and a gyro-stabilized gimbal if they want cinematic motion. We supply the aircraft, the pilot, the intercom and the headsets, and we brief the shot list before engine start so the time in the air goes to pictures, not planning. If you would rather have a stills-only flight and fly one of your agents as the shooter, that works too; every seat is a window seat.
